1884 28th February, large piece from Cape Coast to London, with full address, bearing 2d green bisected diagonally, tied by '556' barred oval with superb despatch datestamp alongside. Showing crayon '1' credit mark lower left, and on reverse dated handstamp 9th April 1884 of 'THEODOR BUHL & CO / STAMP MERCHANTS', demonstrating the early collectors interest in such useages. SG (6a)
