1923 (4th April), incoming picture postcard (sepia view of Chapel Field Gardens, Norwich) bearing KGV 1d tied by Norwich (4 April) machine canceller. The card was underpaid and received strikes of a hexagonal ‘T/10/L’ and a large 1½d tax marking. The shortage was receipted with 1d and ½d postage dues (SG D2, D11) which were affixed and tied by Mossel Bay (25 Apr) datestamps. Scarce example of the uncommon 1½d tax marking and usage of a ½d postage due.
