| 1897 ‘2½’ surcharge on 3d ultramarine. BLOCK OF 12 (4x3) from the lower right corner of the right pane with margin at right and interpanneau gutter margin at base. One stamp (position 46 on pane) showing variety ROMAN ‘1’ AND ANTIQUE ‘2’. Some gum creasing not affecting the variety, otherwise superb fresh unmounted mint. Very scarce variety, especially in a positional multiple. SG 83/a
