1971 ½c decimal definitive, 'RSA' tete-beche wmk., Harrison paper with 3mm phosphor bands, coil. A highly specialised collection comprising all ten 'proving' strips. Each in a strip of 22, and mounted on album pages, along with all relevant plating details. Superb unmounted. A remarkable assembly which would be almost impossible to replicate today. Note: this coil duty was printed in strips of 220 stamps. Examination of the intact strip revealed numerous small flaws, which can be used to identify the 'position' of individual proving strips. |
