Bearing an irregular block of 20 (10 pairs) of the 5/- black and blue-green and 4d, 6d and 1/- ‘bantams’ (SG 64b, 102, 103, 104) all cancelled with Port Elizabeth (8 Aug) double circle datestamps. Some 5/- stamps additionally crossed with blue registration marking. The face value of the stamps totals £5.1s.10d and convincingly shows postage rates considerably over £1 were possible.
