1953 5th September, 1953 QEII dual-purpose definitive 10/- used in combination with KGVI dual-purpose definitive 2/6 (pair, SG 51, 90) and KGVI £2 and £5 revenue stamps on a Mortgage Bond (folded for display).
Note: the stamp duty on a mortgage bond was £4 10/- for the first £1000 and then 5/- for each additional £100 or part thereof. In this case the bond was for £1711 16/- 4d, making the stamp duty £6 10s. In addition there was a Bond Registration fee of £1, and 5s for witnessing the signature, making a total stamp duty of £7 15/-. |
