1964 30th September, underpaid at 1d cover, poorly struck datestamp, addressed to Salisbury. Endorsed in ink ‘T 4d’ and with violet circular ‘25 / TO PAY’ cachet endorsed ‘4d’. Then applied with pair 4d Federal and five x 1/- overprinted dues (SG D4, D7), cancelled ‘SALISBURY’ on the 12th October. Lovely.
Note: the address is ‘The Personal Careers Adviser’, for a correspondence School. The high rate of 5/8d on this cover would represent a pool charge for a number of underpaid items received at the same time. |
