Addressed to England and bearing a single example of the 3d deep claret (SG 43a) tied by a Registered / G.P.O. Cape Town (11 July) hooded single circle datestamp with an additional strike cancelling the embossed 4d duty on the flap. With Registered London (27 July) arrival datestamp struck in red on the front. A fine example of a 3d single duty franking. |
