| 1934 (1st August), envelope with printed airmail label, addressed to Madagascar. Bearing a KGV Field Marshal 1/- black and greenish blue and Large Falls 3d deep ultramarine (SG 23, 30) each tied by Bulawayo (1 Aug) double circle datestamps. Typewritten endorsement ‘Via Broken Hill’ and Backstamped with a Tananarive (4 Aug) machine cancellation on arrival. An unusual destination for Rhodesian mail being carried on the first return trip of this service which commenced on the 29th July. |
