| 1878 5/- green (1st printing) BLOCK OF 96 (12x8) being the lower eight rows of the upper two panes with side margins and part of the horizontal interpanneau margin at base. Comprising two blocks of 48 separated by a vertical interpanneau gutter showing the characteristic wing margins of the Somerset House perforator (one central row of perforations rather than rows either side of the gutter). A few very minor marginal faults and gum wrinkles, otherwise superb fresh unmounted mint. A remarkable and impressive multiple. Rare. SG 20 |
