| 1938 - 1953 KGVI definitive. A collection of lower left or right corner plate blocks of four, complete except for the 3d black and ultramarine (SG 42), 2/6 perf. 13 (SG 45c) and 10/- perf. 13½ (SG 47). Showing where appropriate both the left corner vignette plate '1' or the right corner frame plate '1' otherwise the appropriate corner block showing both vignette and frame plates together (1 1). In addition all values up to 1/- with additional printings each identified by date with paper, perforation differences recorded. A total of 62 blocks. Mostly unmounted with some hinged on margins or upper pairs, typical browned gum on the early printings. Not complete although still a A REMARKABLE ASSEMBLY and would be almost impossible to replicate today. SG 38-47a |
