1885 Celliers 3d pale red (bright shade) surcharged 'HALVE PENNY' with surcharge reading up. Block of four with all stamps showing a strong

of the surcharge applied from the reverse (i.e. reads correctly). This presumably occurred by folding of one pane under the other during surcharging. Hinge remainders and some split perforations at base, otherwise very fine and fresh mint. A most unusual variety. SG 188
