1912 (31st January) INTERPROVINCIAL PERIOD (ORC and Transvaal used in Cape). Orange River Colony KEVII 1d carmine embossed postal stationery envelope uprated with additional Transvaal KEVII 6d black and orange (SG 266) tied / cancelled with Stellenbosch (31 Jan) double circle datestamps. Addressed within the Cape and sent via the post office Express service with printed black on pale pink ‘POST OFFICE. / EXPRESS’ label affixed at upper left. Wynberg Cape (31 Jan) backstamp. A wonderful interprovincial combination and early example of the rarely seen express service.
