| 1917 31st October, envelope bearing KGV 1d King's Head (SG 4b), cancelled UTRECHT and addressed to 'P. K. Dorpsplaats, dist. Ermelo'. Reverse with MORGENZON 2 NOV 17 and then DORPSPLAATS 3 NOV datestamps, and then alongside adhesive with violet boxed multilingual 'UNCLAIMED' cachet. Apparently finally returned and struck with DORPSPLAATS 23 APR 18 TRANSVAAL datestamp and RETURNED LETTER OFFICE JOHANNESBURG 1 MAY backstamp. A RARE office apparently not illustrated in Putzel. |
