PIETERSBURG 1901 1d black on ‘red’, First printing, perforated 11½. The upper two rows of a sheet, all type P1 (Large ‘P’ in ‘Postzegel’ and large date) with Row 1/2 showing the variety ‘First ‘1’ in date dropped’. Also showing the variety IMPERFORATE BETWEEN resulting in six vertical pairs. Apparently unlisted by SG who record the imperforate between variety as occurring between rows 2 and 3 (Types P1 and P2), and rows 3 and 4 (Types P2 and P3). Some perforations split at centre and hinged in margins and on one stamp, otherwise superb fresh unmounted mint. SG 25l and 25 vars.
