Note: the sheet from which the few remaining examples emanate was originally purchased as postage by the Zimbabwe Stamp Company at the time. Being from cylinder '1B', the upper left corner block was automatically extracted as it contained the 'Question mark' flaw. At a later stage the paper difference was noticed, which appears as off-white compared to the normal. All that remained from the sheet was the upper marginal single offered above. The corner block was then split into a corner pair and two singles. There are thus three singles and a pair known. Apparently none of the examples used as postage have been found. |
