| 1892 (7th January), printed Standard Bank envelope addressed to the Cape bearing single 2d bistre (SG 32) tied by a ‘555’ BONC with proving VRYBURG (JA 7) single circle datestamp alongside. MIDLAND T.P.O. DOWN (JA 9) and Port Elizabeth (JA 9) transit / arrival backstamps. The reverse with wax seal of the bank and the envelope with some crumpling otherwise a fine and scarce example of this stamp used alone on cover.
