| 1896 (June), printed 'Jackson' cover bearing Cape overprints 2d deep bistre, pair and single 4d blue plus small Arms 3/- brown and green (SG 60, 62, 25). Cancelled 'BULAWAYO / JU 3 96 / RHODESIA' datestamps with a further at lower left corner. Endorsed in red 'Registered' and duly sent to England with Cape Town (June 17th) and Birmingham (July 5th) oval backstamps. Most attractive and appealing second Matabele War cover. |
