| Postal History (South African Occupation) 1916 (4th April), Union ½d King's Head postal stationery card, crisply cancelled 'LUDERITZBUCHT / 4 APR 16' datestamp, addressed to Windhoek. Struck with bilingual violet boxed 'PASSED BY CENSOR' plus two further cachets 'UNKNOWN/UNCLAIMED' and 'ADVERTISED'. Returned to Luderitzbucht with a 26 APR 16 datestamp then re-addressed to Kolmanskop on the 29th, presumably finally returned on the 17th June. Attractive. |
