South Africa - Postal History 1925 (Jul 12) Cover ex Cape Town franked KGV 2d and addressed to Wallekraal via Hondeklip Bay. This letter did not go through the normal PO channels but was handed to the captain of the small coasting vessel s.s. 'HONDEKLIP'. On arrival the mail was handed to the local postmaster, and in accordance with PO regulations the 'HONDEKLIP BAY' postmark was applied. Few filing pinholes including through stamp and reverse roughly opened.
 
Hondeklip Bay is a small fishing village on the Atlantic Seaboard in the division of Namaqualand and provision and mail was normally carried by small coastal vessels.
