| 1896 (13th June), envelope addressed to England bearing 2d olive-bistre and ½d green (SG 207, 216) tie by a light but readable THE GRANGE (13 Jun) double circle datestamp. Manchester (6 July) arrival backstamp. A little soiled, though a scarce postmark and showing the 2½d per half ounce rate introduced on the 1st December 1892 for letters to the United Kingdom. |
