| Forgeries Fournier forgeries of the 1896-97 and 1900 issues in close to issued colours. Comprising imperforate: 1d, 2d, 2½d, 3d, 6d, 2/6. Perforated: ½d, 4d, 5/-. Also a 1900 2/6 overprinted 'V.R.I.' (perforated). Each stamp is either handstamped ‘FAUX’ in black or with ‘FAC-SIMILÉ’ applied in diagonal rows in blue on the reverse. All are affixed to part of a page to which they were affixed by the L’Union Philatélique de Genève in 1928. A scarce group. SG 216-222, 224, 234 Forgeries. |
