BOOKLET 1927 Pretoria printing 2/6 black on pink booklet with wording in upper and lower case letters either side of Arms and with white stitching at left. Reconstruction comprising all 14 constituent parts including: front and back covers, ½d panes of six (two, both with watermark upright), 1d panes of six (four, one with watermark upright and three with watermark inverted) and six advertising interleaves printed both sides. One 1d pane showing portion of the adjoining stamps at right tête-bêche. The panes of both values display a variety of marginal markings including three with two jubilee lines in different colours (one 1d with additional ‘arrow’) and three with one jubilee line and horizontal bars. Most panes with hinge marks on one or more rows. A few small faults including one 1d with margin re-attached and another with small stain, otherwise fine. A rare booklet. SG SB6

Note: the combination of country name in upper and lower case letters and lack of advertising on the front cover are definitive features of SG SB6, as are the contents, this being the only booklet to include the ½d and 1d Pretoria printings perforated 13½x14 (SG 30e, 31e). There are two versions of this booklet, this one issued in 1927 with pink covers and one issued in 1928 with darker pink covers and with differences in the advertising interleaves.
