| 1899 26th January, printed envelope bearing large Arms ½d to 8d, various dies including 6d and 8d die I (SG 41, 29, 30, 69, 32, 33, 34), each cancelled 'GWELO JA 26 99 / MATABELELAND' sc datestamp. Sent registered to Bavaria and struck with large 'R' cachet in black. Arrival backstamps of the 22nd February. Obviously philatelic, although still an attractive and unusual use of some of these duties. |
