| 1895 (16th January), envelope addressed to the Postmaster at Mafeking, British Bechuanaland. Bearing a pair of 1892 Arms 2d deep dull green and vermilion (SG 20) tied by a GUBULAWAYO (JA 16) single circle datestamp. The reverse with a Mafeking (JA 24) arrival backstamp. Unobtrusive vertical fold and the flap damaged from opening, otherwise a very fine example of the 4d per half ounce rate from Rhodesia to other South African territories. |
