| 1873 6d Postal stationery envelope produced by P. Davis & Son from the 3d improved eagle die with the original value altered. Size 123x76mm with the flap showing an embossed garter with central cross-hatching, being one of three different ornaments recorded on this size. A combined total of 5,000 envelopes were produced of both sizes. Very fine unused. Very scarce. Q&J E4. |
