Addressed locally, the imprinted stamp is cancelled with a JOHANNESBURG (13 APR) segmented double circle datestamp. Addressed to the ‘Inspector of Explosives’ with a large circular cachet ‘ONTVANGEN / 13 APR. 1899 / INSPECTEUR / VAN ONTPLOFBARE STOFFEN.’ struck in violet.
