1879 Queen Victoria ‘Bourne Head’ design 6d black-brown surcharged ‘1 Penny’ (Type 14) in black showing variety ‘TAIL of ‘Y’ OMITTED’. Presumably a late state of the Type 14 which usually shows a remnant of the tail. Rounded upper right corner, otherwise fine used with concentric circles canceller. Ex the David Underwood collection.
