| FORGERY of the 1d duty printed in red on a rough, yellowish buff paper and showing many of the flaws found on genuine issues. A break between the first right flag and the oval suggests some connection with Jørgensen’s ‘Coarse Plate X’. Provided with a forged ‘10’ target-type cancellation in a different style to that used in the ZAR. Unusual. |
