1931-35 KGV Field Marshal issue. Complete set of 17 different Printer’s file copies ex. the Bradbury Wilkinson archive, each in a perforated block of 20 (10x2) being the upper two rows of the sheets with margins. Each is affixed to thin card and endorsed in the upper margin with the relevant plate numbers and printing dates in manuscript. Comprising:
1) The original nine denominations: 3/-, 7/6, 10/-, £1, £2, £5, £10, £20 and £50. Each endorsed ‘0/18109’ and dated 10/3/1930’. Without sheet numbers. [illustrated in AR634a-c]

2) 3/-, 7/6, 10/- and £1 endorsed ‘0/22373’ and dated ’21.3.32’ with printed sheet numbers ‘001’ and ‘500’ above stamps [4] and [7] respectively. [illustrated in AR634d]

3) 3/-, 10/- and £1 endorsed ‘0/226199’ and dated ‘2.2.34’ with printed sheet number ‘1’ and ‘500’ above stamps [11] and [12] respectively. [illustrated in AR634e]

4) £1 endorsed ‘0/28685’ and dated ‘8.3.35’. With sheet numbers ‘1’ and ‘500’ above stamps [10] and [12] respectively. [illustrated in AR634e]
A total of 17 blocks clearly showing the shade contrast relevant to the various printings. One sheet of 60 originally existed. A spectacular and unique group. Mewett 223-31 proofs.
