| 1891 (17th November), incoming Natal QV ½d postal stationery card addressed to Johannesburg, uprated with an additional Natal QV ½d dull green adhesive (SG 97a), tied by a very fine CHARLESTOWN / NATAL (17 Nov) double circle datestamp. The reverse with printed heading ‘MANN & CO’ and list of destinations with rates of transport from Charlestown added in manuscript. With a very scarce LLANWARNE / Z.A.R (17 Nov) single circle transit and Johannesburg (19 Nov) arrival datestamps, both struck on the reverse. Very fine. An attractive and interesting card. |
