| 1/- green with surcharge reading down. Block of 30, comprising columns 3 to 8 of a left pane with margins at top and bottom and imperforate at right to interpanneau gutter margin. Showing the ‘Crowned Eagle’ [L16]. Superb fresh mint, hinged in margin only. Apart from a pane of this stamp in the SA Post Office archives, this is believed to be the largest multiple in private hands of any 1/- printed from the Otto wide-set plates sent to Potchefstroom in 1869.
