It is believed the upper right pane
of one sheet had the overprint omitted, giving rise to ten possible
horizontal interpanneau pairs, four of which are in the Durrell
collection. This block represents two of six possible interpanneau
pairs in private hands. Plateable as positions 37-42, 43-48 (rows 7 and
8) with thick ‘V’s [37] and [43], no stop after ‘R’ [42] and other
minor flaws. Some creasing and soiling mainly affecting the right hand
vertical pair. SG 113 + var. Very rare. |
