RA6590 1918 21st January, cover bearing 2d Admiral (SG 220), cancelled light but legible ‘CHOMA’ datestamp in VIOLET, addressed to England. Light foxing around adhesive and small opening tear at top, but most attractive and this cancel not previously seen in violet. £200
RA657 1918 16th October, cyclostyled page from the ENKELDOORN CHEESE FACTORY for the allotment of 50 shares for £6 5/- to Col. William Napier. The page then folded and posted with the stamp now torn away but cancelled UMVUMA 18 OCT 1918, applied internally with 3d Admiral (SG 259) cancelled with straight line violet ‘Enkeldoorn’ handstamp. A delightful item despite its faults. £75

Each pen cancelled in red with initials and date. The £1’s are most striking colours, unlike any other listed die IIA / III shades, and are very scarce in any state. Lovely and fresh. £350
