Proofs for the proposed booklet. The apparently unique collection comprising front and back covers, plus 41 different impressions for the advertising labels. All struck in black on wove paper, and accompanied by the original memorandum from the Crown Agents ordering these proofs to be prepared, dated 21st December 1918, and the reply from De La Rue giving their quotation for printing. Mounted on eight album pages. A remarkable group ex. the De La Rue archives.

(crown) R. / Found open or damaged and officially secured.' label. Returned to Switzerland and then further charged upon arrival bearing 40c Swiss postage due. Most unusual and attractive.
