1932 3d, major variety IMPERFORATE HORIZONTALLY (vertical pair). Stamps 28 and 34 from the sheet of 60, with printer’s mark between at left. Superb mint, RARE in this condition. SG 30a

Note: One sheet (no. 478) was discovered with this variety, resulting in a possible 30 pairs. A good number were affected with severe creasing and / or thinning, plus at least 3 pairs are known used. Pairs in fine condition, such as this, are rare.

Note: Where this issue is listed in a more specialised nature, it is usually simply recorded that the later printings are on a thinner paper. Generally these are easy to identify on most or all values. However, the block above goes beyond this basic description, the paper is almost transparent with the design very clearly showing through. It would appear that this is an extreme version of  that or a separate printing.
