NY1452 1898 14th January, long printed 'ON HER MAJESTY'S SERVICE' envelope bearing 4d and pair 1/- Arms (SG 45, 47), each crisply cancelled 'BLANTYRE' sc datestamps, another alongside, sent registered to England. Struck with black oval 'REGISTERED / BCA / LETTER' strike lower left, and endorsed in blue 'Regd 94'. Black wax seal on reverse, Chinde transit and London FE 22 arrival backstamps. NY1454 1898 17th June, BCA type ½d black and yellow ‘Internal’ postal stationery card, cancelled 'ZOMBA' sc datestamp, addressed to Namasi. The message headlined Doonasi and to one Owen Stroud, and enquiring about a machila (canvas hammock) and it's whereabouts. Delightful. £175
NY1436 NYASALAND-RHODESIAN FORCE 1917 5th December, KGV 2/6 (SG 94), cancelled bold upright 'FIELD POST OFFICE 5 DEC 17 / 8' dc datestamp, this most likely used in Mbamba Bay at this time. A scarce high value usage. SOLD
NY1451 NYASALAND-RHODESIAN FORCE Nyassa Company pictorial complete set of 12 values overprinted 'REPUBLICA' in red, each crisply cancelled with 'NYASALAND FF 2 18' squared circle datestamps, between July and August. So cancelled in the Mtengula area, apparently 2484 stamps cancelled thus, and 207 sets of 12. Mounted on album page. SOLD
